The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu had officially inaugurated e Pragati in Vizag. Mission e Pragati drives the robust technology system in the state. CM stated that IT companies should come forward and invest in AP to create a win-win situation.
e Pragati, the e governance initiative of Andhra Pradesh will be completed in a time span of two years with a budget of INR 2398 Cr. e Pragati is a single integrated platform that comprises of all government related services and links all the govt departments under one wing.
The Chief Minister stated that e Pragati is a citizen-centric project that offers smart and unobtrusive government and will prove to be a very important tool in the development of the State in the coming years. Simply put, e Pragati will become a model for other states to follow, way forward.
This project would automatically save Rs. 1,500-2,000 crore across different departments. Mr Naidu applauded the efforts of Wipro and other IT companies that are associated with the project and warmly sought their co-operation.
IT adviser to the AP Government, Mr J Satyanarayana explained about the project in detail. He said e Pragati will build a e-highway linking all government departments and agencies with a singular approach and zero ambiguities.
The President of Nasscom, R Chandrasekhar, appreciated the efforts of the AP Government for its optimal utilization of technology towards development.
