In a meeting with world’s best architects held at the Vijayawada CM Office today, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu elaborated about his vision of Amaravati.
“The Government Buildings shouldn’t remain just some infrastructures in the Capital but should become the landmark buildings which tourists can visit,” the Chief Minister, said, adding that the construction of Amaravati, India’s newest city, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Chief Minister along with officials from the CRDA explained about the Capital Region Master Plan, Capital City Master Plan and Core Capital Master Plan and also gave their inputs to the architects who are vying and aspiring to bag the most prestigious deal in the history.
The architects will participate in a Swiss Challenge method and compete with each other to design the Government Core in the People’s Capital.
Earlier, three world’ greatest architects, Norman Foster. Rem Koolhas and Richard Rogers were shortlisted as the prominent finalists who will take the lead creating the beautiful Amaravati. Now, it remains to be seen as to who is the best to design the prestigious government buildings of the People’s Capital.
