The latest Assessment done by the World Bank under the State Implementation of Business Reforms ushered pleasant tidings for AP. The results put the state of Andhra Pradesh at number 2 in the entire country, declaring it to be the most commendable place to do business, only after Gujarat.
The assessment reveals that all the states are at very different levels of implementation of the set 98 point action plan. The implementation status of each state had been converted to a percentage, and on the basis of this percentage, the final results of the state rankings have been calculated.
The state of Andhra Pradesh has also been ranked at number 1 under the category of aspiring leaders, defining the states with an overall implementation status between 50 and 75%. The states that followed the line are Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan.

2. Allotment of land and obtaining construction permit
3. Complying with environmental procedures
4. Complying with labour regulations
5. Obtaining infrastructure utilities
6. Registering and complying with tax procedures
7. Carrying out inspections
8. Enforcing contracts
