In a review meeting on CRDA held yesterday at Vijayawada, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the growth of Amaravati will boost waterways in the Capital. CM’s constant aspirations with the waterway transport plans for Amaravati came forth one more time.
According to Mr Naidu, he will not only make waterways a major mode of transport in the future but also increase the business of logistics. Adding these up, the capital will be a beautiful mix of blue and green, he said. CM stated that Amaravati will rise beyond the City of Venice in popularity.
Mr Naidu informed his officials that judges from the Supreme Court will soon visit the Capital Region. In this direction, he asked the officials to have a clarity on the location of government buildings, courts, etc in order to explain the same to the visiting delegation.
Underlining that the Centre has already granted Rs. 600 crore for AIIMS at Mangalagiri, the Chief Minister said that Health City will be established in the region.
Later, location of residential townships and other important aspects of the Capital were discussed in the meeting.
