It seems like the silent and low profiled Donakonda of Prasakam district is soon going to be a hubbub of activity.
A business delegation from Ukraine has evinced interest in setting up an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Andhra Pradesh.

The foreign delegation met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu last night and put forth the proposal to set up the MRO facility in association with Secunderabad-based Titan group, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office said.

If the plan materializes, Donakonda will be prepped to become one of India’s potential MRO facilities. The facility if approved, will be set up with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, going by the release from CMO.

Assuring every possible assistance from the government, the Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu had asked the Ukraine delegation to come up with a detailed project proposal.

The Ukrainian delegation had visited Donakonda on Wednesday, along with state Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, in order to inspect the land.
