Regional air carrier Trujet had now commenced operations between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The flight services went active on Sunday.
The inaugural flight arrived at the Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada at 3.30 p.m the same day. The company’s vision was to connect tier I, II and III cities, being mindful about the great potential in that segment.
Sharing Trujet’s plans in the State, Mr. V Umesh, MD, Turbo Megha Airways Private Limited, said that plans had already been chalked connecting Vijayawada with Visakhapatnam, Cochin and Aurangabad by introducing operations shortly. Trujet is contemplating to start operations connecting Visakhapatnam, Mangalore, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tuticorn and Salem in the Southern segment.
A blueprint has been prepared to outline various temple tourism circuits that would be possibly connected with direct flights. “We have already connected Hyderabad with Tirupati and Aurangabad to facilitate pilgrims visit Tirumala and Shirdi respectively in a hassle-free manner,” he said while speaking to a leading newspaper daily.
