Travelex Owners to Set Up Asia’s First Medical Analytics Centre at Amaravati

Amaravati will soon become the first city in Asia to have a medical analytics and a medical knowledge process outsourcing center. Travelex, world’s famous foreign exchange currency company has signed a deal with AP Government to this effect.

J. Krishna Kishore, CEO, A.P Economic Development Board and B.R. Shetty, Chairman of BRS Ventures Limited have  signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday (2nd May), according to an official release from the AP government.

The MoU is also for establishment of Asia’s first medical analytics centre and a medical knowledge process outsourcing centre at Amaravati, a medical university, a drug manufacturing unit in A.P, construction of a five-star hotel and a convention centre and 1700–bed hospitals in various parts of the state that will be carried out in the second and third phases.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh and BRS Ventures of Abu Dhabi today inked an MoU for investments worth Rs.12,000 cr in the state, in presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and BRS Ventures’ owner D.R. Shetty.

The MoU envisages investments in healthcare and tourism where the company is said to have agreed to set up a 3,500-bedded super speciality hospital in the state. Mr. Shetty has also agreed to make significant investments in Amaravati‬ in medical tourism.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has also requested Mr. Shetty to give shape to his vision as soon as possible in order to expedite the development within the State, promising to provide land as per the norms.
