Soon After the Seed Capital Plan was released, Amaravati gets the attention of Tata Group as a viable investment destination.
The Chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry flew down to meet Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Nadu yesterday (23 July 2015) in Rajahmundry. He expressed Tata’s keen interest to invest in the future global capital city of new State of Andhra Pradesh.
Mistry had a detailed interaction with the Chief Minister, inquiring about various investment opportunities in Amaravati with respect to the development of the capital as a smart city.
The Group also stated that they are exploring opportunities in the hospitality space such as Convention Centre and hotels, Defence and Aerospace and, waste management.
During the interaction, Mr. Mistry also enquired about setting up TCS Development Centre in the state. CM welcomed the Tata Group to set up their shop in the state and sought their support in areas like education, smart village-smart ward program, skill development and also in setting up various other industries.
The interest being fetched by the renowned brands towards the future city of Amaravati is a welcoming prospect, signifying new direction for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
