The Singapore Government developed master plan for the new capital city for Andhra Pradesh was presented to the State Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here today. The Capital City master plan would be cover an area of 125 square kilometers.
The first phase of the Master Plan of the capital region for approximately 7,325 square km area was submitted in March this year, and the second phase plan was promised to be submitted during the last week of May. The latter has being submitted as per schedule today.
The Seed Capital Development covering an area of 8 Sq.Km will be submitted by June 15th. Seed Capital region would cover all the Government buildings and accomadation for higher officials in the state.
AP government has decided to perform a traditional Bhoomi Puja for Amaravathi on June 6th. However, the construction of the capital city will commence from October 22 on the onset of Dussera Festival, which is considered very auspicious for starting any work.
