Looks like Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu has not only influenced his co actors and colleagues to go on an adopting a village spree. The latest to join the list is none other than G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Union Defence Minister. Reddy as adopted Mahimaluru, his native village in Nellore district.
The village located at Atmakur Mandal limits in Nellore district will get Reddy’s close attention in the areas of welfare and development. The advisor also plans to use his valuable connections at the National level to uplift the living conditions within his native place.
Mr Satheesh Reddy is well known for his esteemed contribution country wide in the areas of development, technology and the recent Make in India initiative.
Medical and Health Minister Kamineni Srinivasa Rao spoke on the event and praised the move. He said that it was a welcome development to see significant dignitaries coming forward and being a vital part of the developmental efforts with their respective adopted villages.
Reddy was formerly Director of the Hyderabad-based Research Centre Imarat (RCI) and is known to have contributed immensely for various defence research programs.
Reddy is looking forward to his new initiative and expressed the need for improving basic amenities and more resources in the rural areas where village adoption concept would greatly matter.
