Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu yesterday over breakfast and signed MoU with the AP government towards establishing a technologically advanced and knowledge-based economy.
As to what looked like a colorful and warm welcome to the boy who really belongs here, Nadella was well received and made comfortable by the CM and the prime officials. Under the MoU signed, IT global giant Microsoft will support Andhra Pradesh in building three proof-of-concept (POC) solutions in the fields of education, agriculture and eCitizen services.
AP government will utilize Microsoft’s Azure Machine Learning and Advanced Visualization lab technology for predictive analytics. This technology will act as a major catalyst for achieving sustainable doubt-digit growth and better public services, revealed a statement from the chief minister’s office.
Microsoft has also offered agile assistance in the trademark cloud technology and will provide training to the government officials for better functioning and application of technology in agriculture, education and citizen services.
The meeting lasted for 80 minutes, during which Mr.Satya Nadella assured of total cooperation with the state Government in the utilization of cloud data for improving citizen services.
He has also agreed to set up a Centre for Excellence in Visakhapatnam. He promised to visit Anantapur District during his next visit to Andhra Pradesh.
Incidentally, Satya Nadella timed his visit that will coincide with attending a family function in his house.
Tarakarama Rao had also called on Nadella during his own visit to the US in May this year.
