Good news for the Rajaka or Washermen community in Andhra Pradesh. Rs 32 Crore has been sanctioned as a development fund for the current fiscal year.
The update was confirmed by Narayana, Chairman of AP Washermen Cooperative Societies Federation Limited. He spoke to the press and confirmed the sanction of funds that would greatly benefit the niche section of the society.
“Hasten the construction of dhobi ghats across the district and hold regular review meets, once every three months, to keep a track of implementation of welfare schemes” he said, imploring the respective officials to work harder towards the welfare schemes.
He said that the federation will also tour the districts to spot various problems prevailing at the ground level, and a planned MoU will be submitted to the state govt.
