The recent visit of the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to Andhra Pradesh on June 24th and 25th proved fruitful. The minister visited a number of facilities and revisited oil and gas projects lined in the East Coast of India that are both onshore and offshore. Some of these projects include that of gas pipeline, petroleum products and LPG.
Mr Pradhan reviewed all the activities that are carried out by ONGC in the Krishna Godavari gamut and Vizag. He gave some valuable inputs, requesting the officials to revitalize various start up and production activities using best of technology and provide top of the line training to the employees who are now a massive part of the new projects.
The minister visited Visakhapatnam on 25th and spent time at ISPRL and was awed with the first strategic crude oil storage facility with a capacity of 1.33 MMT. He also visited Chikyu, state of the art Japanese vessel hired exclusively by the Government of India for gas exploration campaign in the high sea level of Vizag coast.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan assured the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr Chandrababu Naidu that the centre is committed to extend all possible cooperation to the Andhra Pradesh state.
