Kings and Farmers Head To Amaravati

Finally, the big day is here for Andhra Pradesh. Amaravati, the new capital city will be laid a strong foundation. Major security arrangements have already been made as several dignitaries and guests are en route to reach the venue. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi will shortly make his way to the assigned spot of the ceremony. Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu is also on his way.

Other distinguished guests such as Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Sujana Chowdary and Nirmala Sitharaman have just embarked on their respective journey to the venue in a chopper. While some of the prominent guests have been accommodated in plush hotels in Vijayawada, others have chosen to directly reach the venue either by road or by air.

While the guests are on their way, colorful cultural programs have commenced. On the dias right now are dubbing king Sai Kumar along with singer Sunitha, trying their best to enthrall the audience present.

Authorities expect atleast 1.5 lakh-2 lakh people to attend this historic event. Farmers are also on their way, and have been seen talking to local satellite channels expressing their joy for the state. Most of these farmers have given their land for development in Amaravati. So they are the prime investors too.

There are ongoing debates as to whether the Prime Minister will shower any special packages on the state while presiding over the event.

To provide robust security, more than 15,000 police forces from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka and paramilitary forces have been deployed at the venue and major vantage points along seven routes leading to the site. They will also closely escort the VVIPs. Twenty-five closed-circuit TV cameras have also been installed at the venue, to keep track of every movement.

Banners and festoons cheering for the new capital are also seen at many places leading to and at the venue.
