This could perhaps be the moment of the decade for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Two major titans steering the states with opposed positions got together in a single room for an interesting purpose.
Mr Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, made it a point to pay a personal visit to Mr KCR, CM of Telangana, his old colleague in Indian politics for a special reason. Mr Naidu also presented a special shawl from Tiirumala to KCR along with a huge Tirupati Laddu!
During this sensational interaction that happened at around 6 35 pm yesterday at KCR’s Camp office, the two heads discussed the power update and the inter-linking of rivers in AP. Mr. Rao stated that inter-linking of rivers could be done with the concurrence of the Centre. Coming to power distribution in the present scenario, Mr. Naidu is believed to have expressed to Mr. K C Rao that the two States were better placed than others in the country.
Flanked by Telangana TDP president L. Ramana and Floor Leader of Telangana TDP in the Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Mr. Naidu reached KCR’s camp office and spent more than 50 minutes with him.
KCR team, comprising of Deputy Telangana Chief Minister Mohammed Mehmood Ali, Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Power Minister Jagdish Reddy received Mr. Chandrababu Naidu with colorful bouquets.
Mr Naidu extended a formal invitation for the Amaravati Foundation Laying Ceremony to Mr. Rao, while presenting the shawl and laddu.
Sources from the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office said to the media that the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.
Mr. Naidu also went inside with Mr. Rao while requesting him to attend the event along with his family members.
