FreeCharge, India’s happening digital payments platform will now empower Andhra Pradesh to go completely cashless. FreeCharge has announced its collaboration with AP State Government to onboard the AP Purse initiative. FreeCharge will now make the payments super simple with its mobile wallet facility.
This is a good progress in the ongoing phase of demonetization. CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu is now heading the committee of 5 Chief Ministers in India who are going to proactively address issues surrounding demonetization. AP Purse, the latest offing from the government will have multiple payment apps and tools that will allow the citizens to transact hassle free on a daily basis.
Merchants and users across the state will soon download the AP Purse and will be able to install all the required apps. The state government wants to take this initiative to the Pan state level and address two very important aspects – creating awareness and increasing the use of digital wallets in every nook and corner.

Uses of FreeCharge Wallet
FreeCharge wallet flaunts extended merchant network and can be instantly used for booking bus, rail and air travel tickets, doing phone recharge, paying utility bills, making purchase at grocery stores, chemists and also making Peer to Peer (P2P) and Peer to Merchant (P2M) payments.
Lately, FreeCharge has signed up with more than 53,000 petrol pumps across the country. With FreeCharge, customers will also be able to pay for LPG deliveries. Currently, FreeCharge is being widely used across the country to pay for cab rides, order from food delivery outlets and book movie tickets. The digital payments platform is also spread out across happening retail and food chains.
