The Amaravati Foundation Ceremony will be nothing short of a grandiose epic spectacle that will go down the history. Monumental arrangements are already in progress, with who’s who of the Indian political scenario attending the event. The foundation ceremony will also mark the reprisal of Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh’s capital city, a de ja vu for the ancient city that saw many dynasties rise and fall.
To this effect, major organizing is in process, with each and every aspect carefully considered. Coming to the food section, the menu that has been finalized will make one’s mouth water at the very mention of it.
The food menu for Amaravati foundation ceremony will be strictly Andhra cuisine. The food will be a ‘ready to serve’ packet containing traditional Andhra dishes like Chakkara Pongali, Pulihara, Vadas and Poornalu.
The lunch spread is yet another section which will spell a magnificent palate. Some of the main dishes will be Ulavacharu, Rasam, Sambar and Menthula Majjjiga.
For all the land owners who will be the privileged guests, another Ready to serve pack containing Pulihara, Daddojanam, Chakkar Pongali and Tappeswaram Kaja will be served.
It is estimated that nearly 1.25 lakh people are expected to attend the ceremony, and the total food cost is estimated to be at Rs 90 Lakh for the general public alone.
AP Govt has also confirmed that a traditional Paaka Sala or kitchen is built right at the venue towards food arrangements.
