CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu had shared his thoughts in detail about the setting up of the new Command and Control Centre for smart governance & surveillance. The CM’s plan of action entails taking another step towards leveraging technology for maximum governance. AP state govt has launched an integrated Command and Control Centre (CCC) mainly to cater to the core aspects of citizen well being.
The services introduced initially include, a revenue system, citizen charter, environmental data forecasting (pollution levels, temperatures and weather), bin monitoring, solid waste management, vehicle tracking, Energy Management System for street lighting and smart traffic management and surveillance.
The CCC, which primarily serves as an e-government centre, will also serve up as a disaster management centre, housing several departments, including APPCB, Revenue, Tourism and Police, among others, and respond in a co-ordinated manner during an emergency.
It will eventually include more services such as proactive revenue protection, mobile workforce management, video analytics, smart energy, open data portal and smart transportation in a phased manner to the centre.
“This is our first step towards integrating all services in the state and monitoring their delivery. This state-of-the-art centralized CCC is a governance-transformation initiative that will soon enable far-reaching benefits to the community” the CM has shared.
