An expert committee that was appointed for the building of new capital of AP finally revealed the actual estimate of Amaravati. As per the panel, approximately Rs 27,097 Cr is the required budget to build the new capital for Andhra Pradesh. This update has been provided to the Lok Sabha today.
Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Home, stated that the expert committee that was appointed towards project Amaravati has given the final split of the budget. It is as follow:
Rs 10,519 Cr for the Capital Zone Buildings
Rs 1, 536 Cr for Capital Zone Infrastructure
Rs 5,861 Cr for City Infrastructure
Rs 9,181 Cr for Growth and Expansion
“Total amount indicated to this regard is Rs 27,097 crore. A fund of Rs 1,850 crore has been provided to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh for state capital and infrastructure facility during 2014-15 and 2015-16,” he replied to a written question.
