As part of making Andhra Pradesh technologically enabled and sustainable with efficient services, AP state government has launched online vehicle registration among the other services that fall under e-Pragati wing. Rural Development Minister Kimidi Mrunalini had officially launched the online system for registration of vehicles at a private car dealer’s showroom at Vizianagaram yesterday.
e Pragati was launched in the month of March in Visakhapatnam by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, with a solid mission to eliminate the role of brokers/agents in the registration of vehicles at RTOs. The new service will prove to be super fast and convenient for the citizens who are looking for effective turnarounds with vehicle registration.
Ms Mrunalini stated that as part of introducing e-Pragati in governance, the government has earlier decided to offer 83 services, including registration of vehicles online.
e Pragati is a coherent and holistic framework that has been designed to enable Andhra Pradesh to have a state wide enterprise architecture initiative by the year 2029. With this mission, the new state of Andhra Pradesh will also become a pioneer in India to establish a state wide enterprise architecture. Other states will soon pick up on the initiative, considering AP as the pilot model.
The establishment works around several tailor made projects for the people, such as quick win projects, standalone projects, common projects, group projects, cross cutting projects and department projects.
e- Pragati takes up the heavy responsibility with a clear cut list of missions in mind, pointing towards social empowerment, knowledge and skills, urban development, industry sector, infrastructure and service.
