CM Writes A Letter To Modi Briefing The Flood Situation

Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, briefing about the ongoing flood situation in AP. Six of the districts at close proximity to Bay of Bengal have been badly affected, the worst case scenarios being that of Nellore, Kadapa and Chittoor. The CM also elaborated on the extensive damage caused to the crop in the East and West Godavari districts. Mr Naidu had requested Mr Modi to release Rs 1000 Cr as an advance towards immediate relief and restoration activities.

According to the letter, 95 stations have received very heavy rainfall that measured from 200 mm to 657 mm yesterday (19 Nov 2015). The human loss has been listed at the count of 35, while the loss of cattle is reportedly 613. As many as 146 villages in Andhra have been greatly affected, with fully damaged houses reported at 467 and partially damaged ones at 2029.
