CM N Chandrababu Naidu and his team have commenced their tour to Russia and Kazhakstan. The CM reached Almaty, largest city of Kazhakstan yesterday with a mission to attract investments for the capital city Amaravati.

The team has kick started their tour to the series of countries that fall under Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Mr Naidu, along with his team have made their way to Kok-Tobe mountain, where they established a comfortable rapport with the officials and discussed about developing a similar getaway destination in the hills of Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Naidu then caught up with Defence Minister of Kazhakstan and ex Mayor Tasmagambetov in Astana. Incidentally, it was under Tasmagambetov’s tenure that Astana grew into one of the world’s noted capital cities designed by the popular architect Kisho Kurokawa of Japan.
The CM discussed similar ideas with Tasmagambetov and expressed to seek his advice in the matters of urban planning of Amaravati. The idea is to replicate Astana’s incredibly classy model in Amaravati.
Interestingly, Astana shares a lot of similarities with Amaravati, as the capital city was built on the banks of river Ishim, just like Amaravati which lays on the banks of river Krishna.
Mr Naidu later on went to meet D Idrissov, Chairman of Ordabasy Group, to discuss business. The CM is also set to participate in the 7th International Trade Fair INNOPROM that starts from today (July 10th) in Yekaterinburg. Here, Mr Naidu will join the CM of Maharasthra, Devendra Fadnavis and CM of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje.
