CM Chandrababu Naidu Sets ‘Mission 2019’ For TDP

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the President of the ruling party, Telugu Desam, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu called in for a powerful mission among his party members on Sunday. Mission 2019, as its called, is about retaining ruling power in Andhra Pradesh and taking over the government in Telangana the coming elections to be held in 2019.

Mr Naidu came into full force, on the occasion of administering oath to the members of newly formed central committee within the party. His son Nara Lokesh was also recently appointed as the new General Secretary. CM urged his party members to work towards strengthening the party and sustaining confidence in the people who look up to TDP.

The CM said that TDP should hereforth emerge as an unstoppable force even in Telangana while performing the fitting duties as a power in AP.

Mr Naidu reminded his comrades about TDP founder and legend Sri N T Rama Rao’s relentless work while bringing the party to power within nine months of its inception. He reminded his team about people’s confidence in the party then and now, recalling how TDP played a crucial role in the National politics in course of the country ruled by National Front, United Front and NDA.

He reiterated that while Telugu Desam is running the government in Andhra Pradesh, it is currently on the spot of opposition in Telangana, consecutively sharing power with NDA at the Centre. Mr Naidu alerted the leadership teams in his parties operating in both the states to respond to the problems faced by people. CM said that TDP needs to take Centre’s help in resolving few of these prevailing issues.

The newly-formed committees within TDP is a mix of old and new faces. Mr Naidu uplifted the spirits by saying that those who work well would get the deserving recognition and will be given prominence.

On the flipside, he cautioned that each member’s performance would be evaluated and a progress report would be given every three months.

Mr. Naidu, who later interacted with party leaders from both the states, invited the TDP leaders from Telangana to the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amaravati on October 22.
