Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is all excited about the foundation laying ceremony of Amaravati. As massive plans are underway to mark the historic moments of Andhra Pradesh, the CM is all for the best water taxis that would be established in the new capital city of Amaravati. The new capital will be a unique blue and green city.
Mr Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has submitted the report of the Sub-Group of Chief Ministers on Swachh Bharat Mission. While interacting with the PM, he said the new capital will have a waterfront stretching out to 25 kilometers, where water taxis are likely to be used to commute to offices.
The Prime Minister who has been formally invited to the foundation stone laying ceremony will also inaugurate the new terminal at Tirupati airport later on the very day. Needless to say, Mr Modi will also have the sacred Darshan of Lord Venkateswara, flanked by the AP Govt officials.
Speaking to the media, Mr Naidu shared the PM’s support rendered to build one of the best capital cities in the country. He appreciated Mr Modi’s powerful encouragement. Going by the master plans for capital region, capital city and seed capital, the Chief Minister was positive that Amaravati would be on par with international cities.
The new capital will have sports city, entertainment, education and health hubs, besides being a regular metro like city. Mr Naidu confirmed that he had reiterated on the release of funds for the Polavaram project with the Prime Minister.
