Children’s Day Google Doodle – Came From AP

We are all familiar with Google Doodle themes that keep changing with major occasions and incidents in the world. This Children’s Day, Google launched a contest by the name ‘Create Something for India’. The company received lakhs of entries. The ultimate winner is from Andhra Pradesh.

Celebrating ‘Children’s Day’ along with the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad, Google, with a special doodle created under its Doodle 4 Google 2015 contest. The theme was ‘Create Something for India’.

Of the 12 finalists made by Google, the winning entry was by 9-year-old P Karthik from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan from Andhra Pradesh. His doodle has been displayed on the Google India homepage on the Children’s Day. The doodle shows a Plastic to Earth Machine, an idea aimed at reversing the damage done to the environment due to an increased industrial activity.

Karthik describes his doodle in detail with the media. “This machine will recycle all the plastic waste from our country and turn it into a material which helps the growth of mother nature. This machine will turn the most powerful evil plastic into green.” he said.

Another significant achievement from AP’s child showcased to the world.
