Once again, Chief Minister of AP N Chandrababu Naidu proved that he can be a vigilant micro manager of things. This was evident today when the CM suddenly got into the suburbs of Nellore city and inspected the roads and drains.
Mr Naidu immediately rounded up the municipal corporation officials for not taking the required measures for sanitation and cleanliness through regular monitoring.
After unveiling foundation stone for Kandaleru Lift Irrigation Project, the CM visited Brahmanandapuram, Dargamitta, Ramnagar, Vengalraonagar and Dykas Road during his surprise checks. He was also accompanied by Mayor Abdul Aziz, District Collector M. Janaki, former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy among others.
After reaching the Dargamitta area, Mr. Naidu stepped down from his vehicle and inspected an open drain running through the area. He asked the concerned officials about why the drain was not being cleaned properly. Also, he asked the officials about their strategy to close the drain as it was in a densely populated area.
This apart, the CM also investigated about garbage disposal arrangement in place.
