The district collectors in the state felt the force of the situation when CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the progress of relief and rehabilitation in the rain-hit areas. Mr Naidu has instructed the respective collectors of the affected districts to complete enumeration of losses. keeping tomorrow as the deadline.
Post the assessment, AP state government will submit a compiled report to the Centre seeking funds for relief and rehabilitation. The CM met the district collectors and other officials and reviewed progress of the relief and rehabilitation in the areas affected by rains.
Mr Naidu has directed the officers to complete enumeration of losses by tomorrow evening. He also inquired on the losses in a differential diagnosis covering agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, dairy, animal husbandry, roads, buildings and damages on the affected houses.
Further, he also instructed the officials to provide relief materials to the victims who lost their ration cards at the rain-affected areas. The CM has asked them to not insist on producing ration cards from the poor.
The CM stressed on the Medical and Health department and directed them to take precautions with respect to sanitation. He discussed the immediate focus on this part so as to avoid spreading of diseases in the flood affected areas.
