The ‘Capital Ride’ campaign, that was made for the brothers of Andhra and Telangana to commute to Amaravati took off today. Nearly 502 individuals representing the Telugu Desam party of Mr Naidu have begun their expedition from the TDP Headquarters, NTR Trust Bhavan, Hyderabad to cycle all the way to Amaravati. Organised by Telugu Desam Party, this event comes under the exhaustive ‘Maha Sankalpa Yatra’ program that has been planned to give a solid momentum to the foundation ceremony of Amaravati. The event that is to be held on 22nd this month will recreate history, unveiling Amaravati to be Andhra Pradesh’s new capital city, once again after centuries.
502 cycles will clock this journey, denoting a symbolic representation of 502 days that have elapsed since Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu was made the Chief Minister for the state post bifurcation. Various members of TDP party, such as P Keshav, MLA from Telangana constituency Maganti Gopinadh and Arikapudi Gandhi flagged off the start of the rally today in Hyderabad.
