The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a decision to create an ‘equipment bank’ in the state.
During a meeting with chairman and managing director of SREI Infra Hemanth Kanoria today, Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu said that SREI will support the state in supplying equipment for all works. The company will also help the state in equipment financing.
“Infrastructure, irrigation, agriculture and R&B departments will be part of this group and work with SREI. This will help us in saving time without scouting for players every time we need equipment for works in the state,” the Chief Minister added.
Later, during an infrastructure review, the Chief Minister directed officials to finish landscaping and gardening at all airports immediately.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister was informed that the passenger traffic in Andhra Pradesh has increased 43% since April while the all India growth of passenger traffic stands at 18%.
