AP Govt Signs MoU with Malaysia’s PEMANDU

With a mission to improve the delivery and efficiency of citizen services within the state, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has signed a partnership agreement with Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia today in Vijayawada.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and PEMANDU CEO and Special Advisor (With Ministerial Status) to the Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Idris Jala were present at the signing of the partnership.

PEMANDU will be now working with the Union Government to roll out impacting and meaningful public sector initiatives in the country. In this direction, Andhra Pradesh will also be the first state government to work with PEMANDU to develop, implement and monitor government programs and strategic developmental plans.

As part of this deal, PEMANDU will help teams across the government with designing and implementing projects.

PEMANDU will identify which parts of the public sector to target by conducting a series of extensive consultations, including a number of public surveys and issues related to public services.
