AP All Set to Inauguarate Gamesa, the Spanish Company

Gamesa, a Spanish company and a manufacturer of wind turbines is all set to open shop by inaugurating its newly designed plant in Nellore tomorrow. According to Ramesh Kymal, who is the Chairman and MD of Gamesa Renewable Private Ltd., the integrated facility in Nellore has been set up at a whopping sum of INR 350 crores and will be inaugurated in all grandeur.
 
The plant will kick start with manufacturing of blades and later move on to the production of generators and inverters. He further added that this Nellore project is just a part of 1000 crore that the company intends to invest in India.
 
The plant has been set up near the Krishnapatnam port keeping in mind the convenience of exporting products. When asked why the company chose AP for its plant, Kymal stated that uninterrupted power supply, great political leadership, a highly supportive bureaucracy and the ease of managing business is what the company saw as the positive points of launching their plant in Andhra Pradesh.
 
When queried about the merger process of the company with Seimens Wind Power, he stated that the process was underway and progressing quite smoothly.
