102 Health Services Launched for Pregnant Women

Good news for all the pregnant women in AP. CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has launched a scheme that felicitates safe travel for pregnant women. 102 Health Services, the service for pregnant women to commute safely to and from the hospital will be now available in Andhra Pradesh.

Launched in West Godavari district, 102 Health Services has been conceptualized for the welfare of pregnant women and their newborns.

Under this scheme, every mother, post her delivery in Government hospitals, along with her newly born child would be transported to her residence along with family members, free of cost.

The family members have to just dial ‘102’, either from cellphone or landline in order to avail this scheme. The government has allocated Rs.900 crore for this service.

Earlier, the Chief Minister has also launched NTR health services at Government hospitals. Under this scheme, about 60 pathology tests would be conducted by the Government hospitals free of cost.

These services are a part of AP government’s effort to transform the state into Arogyandhra Pradesh.
