Amaravati, the people’s capital turned one year old. After ruling the vast expanse of Andhra as its ancient capital centuries ago, Amaravati is now seeing a reprisal of sorts. The path is difficult, but not impossible. There are obstacles, both in the form of resources and few limited mindsets who oppose the plan. The capital continues to build itself, regardless of the prevailing doubts, cynicism and money crunch.
Amaravati, one year on, now treads the path of hope and aspirations. The farmers who have willingly given their lands for the construction of the next model capital cities of the world wait with positive manifestations ahead. Construction of new Secretariat at Velagapudi in a record time has proved some of the naysayers wrong. More is underway, as the state government is working tirelessly to make things happen.
CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has a special message for the people of Andhra.
“This day marks one year of laying foundation for Mana Amaravati ManaRajadhani. We’ve made progress & its pace will pick up from now on. Amaravati will be a model capital for the upcoming cities in the world. With your support, we can build it together & better”
