Soon, the restaurants and food delivery services from Vizag will see a decent demand for their services with Indian rail commuters. IRCTC will be taking orders from all the trains passing through the select 45 specified railway stations during the pilot project that starts in October this year. Visakhapatnam railway station comes into this list that also has other stations falling in the east zone. This means increased demand for the food orders from the restaurants in Vizag.
IRCTC had been striving to slowly switch to online food order facility with private caterers. There is a huge scope of business for the growing number of food order and delivery businesses in India with this move. So far, IRCTC has already tied up with four vendors in Visakhapatnam – Sai Aahar, KFC, Dominos and Raghavendra Catering. Inside sources say that the list is bound to grow in the days to come.
Apart from the various online websites that are vying to tie up with IRCTC, Railrestro and TravelZaika have already collaborated with select hotels. Brands like Dominos and KFC will predictably have a spike in demand with this new development, as the rail commuters would take an instant favorites with these names.
Good days ahead for the Vizag based food outlets and caterers.
