The prestigious Command Control Center will now a special role to ensure smooth proceedings during the nine day Tirumala Brahmotsavams. As the TTD gears up for the biggest annual event that is embraced by lakhs of devotees, CCC will give a helping hand by meeting any kind of emergency situation and staying alert on a combat mode for any kind of crisis.
The event will take off to a colourful start on October 3 with the ‘Dwajarohanam’ and culminate with ‘Chakrasnanam’ on October 11. The biggest challenge for the management to handle during this time is the heavy turnout. The rush is particularly high every year on the day of Garuda Seva, which falls on October 7th this year. The Command Control Centre (CCC) has been set-up to tackle any situation and address the emergencies on a war-footing.
It is also said that all Ghat roads will be kept open round-the-clock from October 1 till the completion of the festival period. The Tarigonda Vengamamba Annadanam Complex will operate from 10 AM to 1 PM on all the days during the festival period.
Devotees will also be allowed to sit on the open top galleries along the Mada Streets from 10 AM. Arrangements are being made to offer the tired pilgrims with free buttermilk and water sachets in addition to free food packets.
Tight and robust security has also been arranged to take care of the situation. Over 3,500 police personnel have been deployed for the Brahmotsavam duty. Over 30 giant-sized LED screens have been set-up at all prime points all over Tirumala.
