“There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly with one wing or weak wings”— Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
Studies by various historians, archaeologists, economists and psychologists reveal that from time immemorial women are highly /equally efficient or talented than men. Cave paintings, information from excavations of different civilizations show that future was always built by women. Men were hunters and women took care of the household, children, gathered food and developed of weapons and tools. It was a matter of survival for all.
A more provocative statement by noted historian “Adovasio” says that women invented language to communicate with children, family members and neighbors as a necessity to share information. It is an assumption, not unnatural but debatable.. As per Rahul Sankrityayan, society used to be matriarchal and mother used to be the leader of the tribe. Our Epics also depict RAJAMATHA, prominent figure who was influential in taking decisions in the matters of State affairs.
From that stage a woman’s position in the society is now lowered to a submissive wife. Past 20 years, there is a great change in the mindset of the society in general. Attitudes are changing. Definitely a wife/mother is the backbone of the family or the string which keeps everything together in order. If the woman is educated, entire family is educated. Education is the most important and indispensable tool to change the society. Positive change should come in both the genders.
Empower women to empower societies and nations.
