The song may have bee conceptualized and created for the IPL 2016 series, but it had become the T20 Wold Cup rage already. You would have heard the song in Tamil with catchy phrases like ‘Pistah’ and ‘Suma Kira’ – yes, a south Indian song from a real South film!

This absolutely catchy song is from the Malayalam Tamil bilingual film Neram, starring Malayalam stars Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim. The tune had been conveniently adapted to capture the spirit of cricket in India, which is nothing short of a religion.

To state the facts, the song was originally composed by Rajesh Murugesan and lyrics were done by Jagathy Sreekumar and Shabareesh. In fact, there is a story behind the song too. This musical rendition is actually a tribute to Sreekumar, who met with an accident an year before the film’s release.

These young creative guns did not know that their creation would soon become a nationwide sensation. Yet, here it is!!

This folks, is the magic of South Cinema – be it Telugu, Tamil, Kannada or Malayalam, we offer the real kick in music!
