Seven Homemade Face Packs for Glowing Skin this Monsoon

After sweating it out for long, the monsoon is finally here and has brought in some respite from heat and sweat. However, the increase in moisture in the air is definitely not good news for your skin. There are chances that this brings in some skin problems that may actually mar your beautiful and glowing skin.

But, don’t worry. You can actually evade these problems by pampering your skin with some homemade face packs. Here are some fabulous DIY face packs that can work wonders for your skin this monsoon.

Oatmeal and Egg White Face Pack

During the monsoons, the humidity in the air can actually cause accumulation of salt and dead skin which can leave your face looking dull. It can also cause pimples and acne. However, using an oatmeal scrub can help you to remove these deposits, leaving you with a radiant complexion. Take 3 teaspoons of oatmeal and mix it well with one egg white, one teaspoon curd and one teaspoon honey. Place this mixture in the refrigerator for some time and then apply it to your face. Make sure to wash your face and dry it properly before applying the pack. Wait till the pack dries and then wash your face.

Mint and Banana Face Pack

If you feel that the moisture laden atmosphere of the rainy season is making your skin look lifeless and dull, try a mint and banana face pack. It will restore the radiance of your skin making it look fresh. Take a handful of fresh mint leaves and grind these into a smooth paste. Now mash half a banana and mix it with the mint paste. Apply this to your skin and wait for 10 minutes. Clean your face using warm water.

Jojoba and Honey Face Pack

In case, you have dry skin, chances are that your skin would feel parched when it comes in contact with the cool monsoon breeze. However, you can easily rectify this by pampering your skin with the jojoba and honey face pack. Take equal quantities of jojoba oil, honey and curd and mix these well to make a fine paste. Apply this pack to your face. After 10 minutes, use a mild soap or face wash to clean your face. Doing this regularly will reinstate the moisture in your skin as jojoba, honey and curd are all natural moisturizers.

Almond Face Pack

It is of prime importance to keep your skin hydrated during monsoons, especially if you have dry skin. In case, you leave it unattended, there are chances that your skin breaks out into wrinkles and fine lines. Using an almond face mask can help to avoid this. Make a smooth paste by mixing 5 to 7 almonds, 4 tablespoons full cream milk, 2 teaspoons of oatmeal, pulp of 1 mashed avocado, 2 teaspoons of china clay and 2 drops of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your face and wait for about 20 minutes or till it dries. Dip a cotton wool in milk and use this to wipe the pack off your face. Once you have removed the pack, wash it with cold water and then apply some moisturizer to it.

Papaya Face Mask

Papaya is a rich source of antioxidants which is why using it in a face mask can actually nourish for your skin. It is also a great exfoliating agent which cleans your face of dead skin and clears clogged pores. During monsoons, a papaya face mask can give your skin a glowing look. Take 5 to 6 cubes of ripe papaya and mash it properly. To this, add one teaspoon of brown sugar. Apply this to your skin and massage it in using firm, circular motion of your fingers. Leave the pack on for about 2 minutes and then use lukewarm water to wash your face.

Egg White and Honey Mask

Do you have oily skin? Well, there are chances that your skin may suddenly break out into acne during the monsoons. This could be the result of clogged pores which are caused due to accumulation of oil and dust on the skin. A face pack made from egg white and honey can help you remedy this. Take the white of one egg and 1 teaspoon of honey to make a smooth paste. Apply this mixture to your face and let it dry. Now wipe the face pack off with a damp cotton wool and then wash your face with cold water.

Lemon and Radish Bleach

Give your skin the much needed instant radiance during monsoons by applying lemon radish bleach. Take half a radish and grate it. Mix this with some lemon juice and then apply this to your face. After 10 minutes, use firm, circular motions of your fingertips to massage your face. Do this for a couple of minutes and then wash your face with warm water.
