It’s Raining MOHANLAL in Telugu

It’s always great news when Telugu adopts components of Malayalam cinema into its folds. Given that Mollywood is at least 50 years progressive as compared to the rest of us, such kind of collaborations are a boon. For a highly commercial driven industry like Tollywood, Mallu influence will only enhance the content. All the more reason why we should be glad that it has been raining Mohanlal ever since.

Once upon a time, there were two great Malayalam actors – Mammootty and Mohanlal. Now also, there are two great actors – Mammootty and Mohanlal. Surprisingly, these two legends never seem to either go out of fashion or grow old. Lalettan as he is fondly called, Mohanlal works only with topnotch content.

Interestingly, Mohanlal is appearing in more than one Telugu film in the recent times. On one hand, Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s to be released Manamantha has garnered quite the level of curiosity and on the other, we have Koratala Siva’s upcoming film Janatha Garage.

The film stars Junior NTR aka Tarak along with Mohanlal. Janatha Garage is a bilingual that will also be simultaneously released in Lalettan’s home ground in its native language – Kerala.

Interestingly, Mohanlal has cast his eye on Tollywood after decades. In fact, these niche actors have never felt the need to make a foray into other languages. While Tamil stars like Superstar Rajini and Kamal Haasan continue to be active on the Telugu scene, Mohanlal is going ballistic with multiple projects for the very first time. His contemporary and friend Mammootty is known to be slightly more flexible when it comes to dabbling in multi lingual films.

Janatha Garage stars Mohanlal, Junior NTR, Samantha and Nithya Menen in the main leads. Music is by DSP and the film is an action flick written and directed by Siva Koratala.
