Today is the auspicious day of Rama Navami. The day when lord Rama was born. The great Avatar of Lord Vishnu who walked the earth left some memorable lessons for the times and generations to come. The land of films for once, managed to capture the magnanimity. The land of Telugu, to be precise, had epitomized the character of Lord Rama like no other.
Telugu cinema has seen the rise of some of the quintessential actors. Heroes who have donned the mythological legends time and again. Obviously, the name NTR springs to mind in a jiffy. But there’s more. There are others too who played the responsible role of the king of Ayodhya and showcased his many tribulations.
The new league of heroes may or may not capture the magnificence of NTR, but they are worth a shot. Heart throb Junior NTR had already made his entrée as the young Lord Rama. Let us look at the other chocolate boys who fit the bill, going by the current scenario.
Naga Shourya – The Cute Rama
He is as cute as they come. Naga Shourya already has a great fan following, especially among girls. Barely a hit and Shourya is now under the microscope of big banners and production houses. The boy with adorable looks definitely can play the younger version of Lord Rama, the cute kinds.
Varun Tej – The Tall Rama
If this Rama has to go to the battle, Ravana will find himself very, very, puny. Varun Tej, with his larger than life height and looks in the literal sense, can play the Lord. There would be challenges, finding a villain with equal footing and personality. But totally doable.
Ram – The Colorful Rama
He has Ram in his name! Handsome hero Ram will make an entrance and throw in a punch dialogue even in a mythological setting. Actor Ram easily sports the kind of charm and mystique. He needs to be careful not to end up looking like Lord Krishna, though.
Rohit Nara – The Legacy Rama
He will be automatically called the Rama with legacy. Rohit Nara will anyway break the cliche with elan. He knows where to pull strings and get the attention of the audience, even as the modest and duty abiding Prince of Ayodhya.
Sesh Adivi – The Slow Rama
He can play the Rama but things can get tad slow. Nice enough for the character. Sesh Adivi is slowly picking momentum with roles and possibilities. He can be just the Rama in a modern day setting.
Nithiin – The Stylish Rama
He will have to maintain composure and try not ending up wearing shorts and gelled hair. Nithiin can be a Rama too. His fans will love that. And so will one part of the divided state.
Sudheer Babu – The Chiselled Rama
He will be that chiselled variant of all Lord Ramas. Perfectly cut facial features – jaw , if we may add. Thin line there between becoming the next Rama and the next Batman. Let us just settle for the first one.
Lord Rama is handsome – responsible and sets an example. Our Telugu heroes of the current times are well capable of pulling the act with effect.
