‘Akhil’ Gets Launched In Grandeur

As to what looked like an affair of the Gods, the audio launch of Akhil Akkineni’s debut film, Akhil was a tale of sorts. An out and out magnificent event this, the audio function saw some important celebrities gracing the event and launching the young upcoming successor of the Akkineni legacy.

The film was officially launched on the first birth anniversary of the legendary actor ANR, bringing forth his last and most famous grandson to the land of showbiz.

The event that was held at Gachibowli Stadium was a crowd puller, with audience attending the program in thousands. The entire family of Akkineni came together to launch their youngest ‘Buddodu’ in style. Actor Sumanth made the official first announcement, revealing that none other than Prince Mahesh Babu will be there shortly to unveil the audio.

Young Akhil Akkineni was dressed stylishly in a leather jacket, flanked by his admirers and family. Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala joined the program, followed with Naga Chaitanya and Sushanth. The audio function was colourfully planned with interactive visual snippets about late ANR, Nagarjuna, Chai and finally, Akhil.

Prince of Tollywood Mahesh Babu made a graceful appearance, congratulating and encouraging Akhil to take the reins of the Telugu film industry. The comparison between Mahesh and Akhil was made super obvious, stating that two had so many things in common, including those breath taking international Hollywood looks.

It was an emotional fare for the family, particularly Akkineni Nagarjuna. He reminisced his father’s grand life and thanked the fans to have encouraged Akhil to a magnanimous extent even before making a debut. Producer actor Nithiin took to the stage at the end and shared some great insights about Akhil’s dedication while shooting and stated that there was a promise of making a true superstar in Akhil the coming days. Akhil made a humble announcement to thousands of his fans at the end, stating that he would work diligently to keep up the expectations ahead.

The highlight of the event was a visual presentation of who’s who of Indian Cinema showering best wishes to Akhil. The elite list included Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Venkatesh, Shiv Raj Kumar, Rana Daggubati, Kajal Aggarwal etc.

Directed by the larger than life director V V Vinayak and produced by Nikitha Reddy, Akhil promises to be an out and out commercial entertainer, launching Akkineni junior in a fitting manner. The film stars Sayesha Saigal as the leading lady, the grand daughter of Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar.

The music section has been composed by two happening directors, S S Thaman and Anoop Ruebens. Akhil is all set to release on October 22nd, marking a super duper Vijaya Dasami treat to the fans.
