Anantapur district will be a base for Kia Motors to start production of compact utility sedans and SUVs with a total investment of USD 2.0 billion to sell in the world’s fifth largest market. The company will also establish a township with advanced training centre for their employees and produce upto 300,000 units each year.
As a humble place of dwelling, Anantapur is well known for living and business. With the entry of Kia, there is every possibility of the city to go next level in terms of its value. Be it commercial or residential, the real estate value of Anantapur as a city is bound to skyrocket. While the traders predict this, Kia brings forth more such investment possibilities into the city as well.
Interestingly, all the big ticket investment projects in the past two years were aligned into Rayalaseema region. Right from the Sri City in Chittoor, Electronic City, Isuzu and now Kia in Anantapur, the northern Andhra is seething hot with investment potential.
It remains to be seen how the city changes in the coming few months.
