CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has taken a firm stance to not to ‘budge’ until the announcements are made from Delhi. Mr Naidu, who has always been very particular about the Centre granting the special status category to Andhra has not been very happy about the other ‘options’ that were being offered.
The CM states that any decision will be made now only after hearing what the centre will announce today. He confirmed that he has never agreed to any other ‘package’ options yet and that the talks are coming from the centre’s side. Sujana Chowdary and C M Ramesh are presently at Delhi, interacting with the union ministers and putting forth some of the firm demands by the new state of Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Naidu has also not responded to either Venkaiah Naidu or Arun Jaitley on flying to Delhi. He is affirmative that any response will be initiated only after ‘going through what the centre announces today’.
It remains to be seen as to what kind of offer the centre will make today.
