Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) soon in Amaravati
VIT-AP, which is the first private university to be set up in AP’s new state capital of Amaravati, will soon make Inavolu its home. The campus for this varsity will be ready by July 10th. According to the management of VIT-AP, the classes for its first batch will commence from July 19th at 9am.
While addressing a press conference, Sekhar Viswanathan, VIT-AP’s Vice President said that the construction of the academic block with classrooms, hostel, laboratories and various other facilities is well under progress and is going as per the defined schedule. He added that the classes for the first semester for students who enroll for B.Tech and M.Tech in software engineering will begin on July 19th. He stated that along with 13 classrooms, the students will also be provided with facilities like labs for various departments including physics, mathematics, electronics and machines as well as 3 computer centers.
The academic block and the hostel will span over 1.25 lakh sq ft area. However, in the coming days more buildings and facilities will be added to the first ever varsity of Amaravati.
