What was in the pipeline is finally taking a concrete shape. Norman Foster’s team showed some of the most exquisite designs planned for the new government buildings in Amaravati to the CM. The team made a visit to Velagapudi to show sample designs for the upcoming government buildings in the city. Going by the CM’s idea of ‘iconic’ and ‘unique’, the team had showcased some amazing prototypes.
The CM N Chandrababu Naidu ran through all the designs and discussed suggestions at length with the team yesterday (March 1st 2017). Norman Foster’s team had come up with four kinds of architectural presentations and presented them to the government officials. The team had also expressed that they wold shortly share the plan of action in terms of execution of construction after consulting several experts.
The CM had reiterated that main structures like High Court and secretariat to be an exceptional stand out in terms of class and comfort. The buildings which would come up on a 900 acre expanse would take some best examples in terms of style and appeal from the likes of Asthana, Washington DC, London, Brazil and New Delhi etc going by the suggestions coming from the legendary Norman Foster.
Foster’s convection and reflection principles will be applied to the buildings to keep the interiors cool and control the rising temperatures. The CM also requested the team to look into keeping the building interiors cool while going for world class finish.
