Skymet Predicts More Rainfall For Andhra
AP had a healthy bout of monsoon shower in the last few weeks. Now, it seems like the state is due to receive a little more of good showers in the days to come as well.
Skymet, world’s trusted weather service predicts more rains ahead for the state. Right now, the cyclonic circulation is present over the coast of Andhra Pradesh and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and South Odisha.
This weather system has almost remained stationary over the region. And the associated cyclonic circulation from this system extends up to 7.6kms above sea level and is tilting with height south-westwards. But with a very slow pace, the system is likely to move in the south-west direction. And due to slow movement of the weather system fairly widespread rainfall has occurred over Andhra Pradesh.
The rainfall will continue for next 12 to 24 hours over the region with moderate intensity at many places and will gradually shift towards the interior parts of the country. In the last 21 hours, Machilipatnam has received 29 mm of rainfall; Visakhapatnam has received 16 mm of rainfall. And good rain was received over Bapatla and adjoining areas.
