On the fifth day of the Nava Nirmana Deeksha, record number of people made their way to the venue of A Convention Center. As per the reports, close to 13000 employees and people attended various programs that were lined up from morning to evening.
The programs were held by the government in three different halls of the Center. The maximum visitors were reported at the stalls and photo galleries that had been organized by different governmental departments. The models of the upcoming state capital of Amaravati were also on display and were the center of attraction for all. During the morning session, Kollu Ravindra, the Sports Minister of the State and Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the Finance Minster, addressed the gathering to elaborate on the various initiatives of the government. The evening session was set aside for an interaction between the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu and students.
The state CM announced that his government was prioritizing education and employment for the youngsters. He added that financial aid was also being offered to students to help them pursue higher education. He said that about 3 lakh students in the state had undergone skill development training to improve their chances of finding a job. He further stated that the new city of Amaravati would be home to a number of national and international educational institutions. According to him the operations of about 434 IT companies would also be soon launched in AP, thus ensuring more jobs for the youth.
While addressing the students he said that they should work hard and should be committed to achieve their goals. According to him, the students should make efforts to improve their skills and knowledge, such that they are in sync with the modern technology.
At the occasion, a number of students who are still in their final year of graduation expressed their happiness and gratitude for receiving placement offers from various firms. P Nandini, a B.Sc(Computer Science) student at the ASN Degree College, Tenali said that thanks to the skill development program that was conducted by the AP government, she has got placement offers from eight different firms. She stated that these skill development programs proved really beneficial in improving her skills as well as confidence.
T Manideep who studies in B.Sc Third Year has received placement offers from 6 companies, while T Rugved has secured placement in 2 companies.
According to Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, close to INR 23000 crores is being spent on health and education sectors by the AP government. Of the budget that has been set aside for education, a major chunk goes to primary education. He said that government was giving importance to skill development programs because staying abreast with the latest technology was important to ensure that the state and its citizens do not lag.
