Much buzz has been going around since morning, after PM Sri Narendra Modi welcomed the President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev in New Delhi yesterday. The PM looks forward to a long standing relationship with Kyrgyzstan, fostering a liaison that will achieve greater bilateral trade and economic activity for both countries.
The PM welcomed the Kyrgyzstan President and asserted that India takes an active stand when it comes to uplifting of tourism, healthcare, mining, IT, agriculture and energy. He has shared that India has now decided to build on development corporation, and this includes training youth with the requisite skill across the sectors.
Mr Modi assured the Kyrgyzstan President and the press that India will work towards strengthening the bilateral trade and ensure greater people to people exchange.
“President Almazbek Atambayev and I agreed on the need to connect our economies more deeply. Kyrgyz Republic is a valuable partner in our common pursuit of making Central Asia a region of sustainable peace, stability & prosperity. President Almazbek Atambayev and I reviewed our co-operation in defence field. We focused on common priority of diversifying, deepening bilateral engagement” said the PM.
He also stressed on how both countries will work actively towards accomplishing common goals. “We discussed how we could work together to secure our youth & society against common challenges of terrorism, extremism& radicalism. Much credit goes to President Almazbek Atambayev for nurturing and building strong foundation of democracy in Kyrgyz Republic” he said
“Our societies share a sense of warmth, we are also bound by a common belief in democratic values, traditions. I am delighted to welcome President Almazbek Atambayev on his first state visit to India” the PM shared.
