The Franklin Templeton Interest May Boost AP’s FinTech Building

CM N Chandrababu Naidu had an eventful USA trip which was all about showcasing the state to one of the biggest democracies of the world. In course of this visit, Mr Naidu held a meeting with Jennifer Johnson, the President & COO of Franklin Templeton, a global investment management organization. She stated that the organization is keen to expand in Andhra Pradesh.

Ms. Jennifer also said that representatives from Franklin Templeton had attended the recent FinTech Conference which took place in Visakhapatnam. The conference gave them a lot of confidence to set up a Franklin Templeton centre in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister assured the representatives of Franklin Templeton that all the required resources like land, water, electricity will be provided to the organization for them to begin with the operations.

FT’s interest in Vizag and AP has every chance of boosting the FinTech growth in the state. The advent of FinTech in Vizag and the massive plans to scale up employment and economic dynamics in the state are standing directly proportional. With players like Franklin Templeton keen on looking at Vizag, the potential to engage local skill and enhance global exposure is humongous. Not only that, once FT makes a foray, the rest of the big players in the sector will follow suit. Think about the likes of Big Four setting foot in the state. Fingers crossed about this possibility.
