The nation is dealing with the after effects of demonetization. To this effect, people are trying their level best to bear the inconvenience. The bankers are also working round the clock to offer effective services to the rushing crowds.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Lead Bankers yesterday to follow up on the readiness of the banks after the demonetization declaration.
During the meeting, he directed them to ensure that there’s no manpower crunch at the banks. Apart from that, he also asked bankers to introduce a token system to call people in turns, rather than making them wait in long queues.
In a video conference with district officials, he Instructed government officials to make buttermilk available for people waiting in queues. Further, he directed Health Department officials to ensure that hospitals have necessary change (lower denominations notes) and follow the instructions of Govt of India.
At a press conference later, the Chief Minister also informed the they are in touch with the RBI to ensure that lower denominations are available at the banks in the state.
